Inaugural concert for county’s community choir this Tuesday

The County of Perth Community Choir will hold its inaugural concert at Knox Church this Tuesday, Nov 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy an intergenerational gathering of people singing a variety of show tunes, Christmas melodies and folk songs to celebrate the festive season under the inspiration and encouragement of Paul Coates.

The choir will welcome instrumentalists Leisel Deppe, Matthew Nace, Laurence Gauci, Chris Adair, Carol Carter and Krista Fowler, as well as soloists Leslie Belland, Ruth Diegel, Krista Fowler and others to be announced.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Sinclair Pharmacy or at the door.

The choir draws its members from Stratford and the surrounding county. Since its formation in May of 2012, the choir has drawn over 100 members from all walks of life. No auditions are required and as a result, this experience has given people who have never sung in a choir as well as those who have years of choir experience the opportunity to join together to sing and give expression in their own special way to the love of music in their lives.

New members are always welcome.

All that is needed is a desire to sing. The choir meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m at Knox.
