    The Canadian Cancer Society (Huron-Perth) is now taking team registrations & volunteer applications for the following Relay For Life locations: June 6th - Stratford Central Secondary School flats - www.relayforlife.ca/stratford June 13th - Listowel Agricultural Society Fairgrounds - www.relayforlife.ca/listowel June 20th - Goderich District Collegiate Institute - www.relayforlife.ca/goderich Relay For Life is an inspirational, non-competitive, 12-hour overnight fundraising event that brings you and your community together to celebrate life and fight cancer. Relay has a festival-like atmosphere that your family, friends and co-workers can enjoy regardless of age or fitness level! Teams of 10-15 people fundraise individually and as a team to help the Canadian Cancer Society save lives and support those who are facing cancer. Relay participants make a commitment to raise at least $100 and are supported with the tools to reach their goals. At Relay, teams gather with cancer survivors at their local track, stadium or sports field and take turns walking laps all night. Each team keeps at least one member on the track at all times, while all around them the party is in full swing. Teams stay overnight in the decorated tent city, united to enjoy music, food, activities and entertainment and to celebrate life. Many other Volunteer opportunities exist! Ask us how you can help residents of Huron & Perth Counties throughout their cancer journey.

    The Hog Jog is a 3.5km run/walk and 10km run held in June each year during the Ontario Pork Congress in Stratford, Ontario.  The goal of the Hog Jog is to raise awareness about an important local cause, give back to the community and to celebrate the people of the pork industry.  It is also about having fun.  Hog Jog participants have had great fun over the past 8 years and have raised over $240,000 for eight very worthy local causes. All pledges from the 2014 Hog Jog will be going to Wellspring Stratford Cancer Support Centre.  Wellspring offers a wide range of cancer support programs and services, at no charge, to meet the emotional, social, psychological and informational needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them.
