The Arthur Atom Rep Vipers won back to back games against Erin-Hillsburgh Devils bringing their record to 5-2-3. This moves them to second place, tied with Woolwich, in the Tri-County minor hockey league.

On October 27 the Vipers were in Hillsburgh to play the Devils. Arthur opened the scoring in the first period with a goal from Isaac Major assisted by Ryan Goetz. Fifteen seconds later Dylan Richardson scored assisted by Cameron DeForest. The Devils got on the board with a goal but Arthur closed out the first with a shorthanded goal from Aiden McDougall assisted by Richardson. The Vipers lead 3-1 after the first. In the second period Erin Rooney netted the only goal of the period assisted by McDougall and Jabe Verbeek. In the third period Arthur scored two unanswered goals the first scored by Goetz assisted by Major and Verbeek and the second scored by Deforest assisted by Goetz and Major. The final was 6-1. Julian Austin was solid in goal for the entire game due to Aiden Barrina taking off the pads to step up to defence. It was a great effort from all players on the team.

Hillsburgh was back in town for a rematch on November 2. In the first period the game was wide open for eight minutes before Arthur scored the opening goal unassisted by Richardson. Before the period was out Richardson would score another unassisted goal to end the period 2-0. Hillsburgh put the puck in the net first in the second period but Arthur followed with a goal from Goetz assisted by Deforest. The Vipers left the second period up 3-1. In the third period Arthur put on an offensive clinic scoring six unanswered goals. Goetz from Cooper Fleet, Deforest from Major and Goetz, Richardson from McDougall and Rooney, McDougall from Richardson, Major from DeForest and Goetz, and the last goal Richardson from Rooney.

The players are playing their positions better each game and the forecheck is generating offensive chances. Keep up the good work!
