There’s one thing I certainly adore about the summer months.
It’s not necessarily the heat or the hustle and bustle of people packing up their things to get ready for travel.
No … it’s something more extraordinary that you can have more than once a day if you dare — a smoothie. Yes, I’ve been on an absolutely delicious smoothie kick lately and I just can’t shake it.
Do you ever have one of those things you enjoy so much that you have to talk about it? Well this is mine.
I get up, mix a couple of luscious fruits in with that certain type of juice, add whey protein and blend it all together. Then I enjoy.
Sometimes I gulp it down quickly, but most times I take my time and lazily slurp back all the fruity goodness that lies at the other end of my straw. There’s really nothing like it.
I don’t know if it’s because the weather’s just right or the fact that we just got a new blender, but frankly, it is smoothie time as far as I’m concerned.
What is it you love about this time of the year? Do you enjoy a nice cold drink or are you more apt to spend your time barbecuing the night away? Do you love a waffle, sugar or plain cones topped with hard or soft ice cream?
What about lawn bowling or putting on a green? Is it the beach sand between your toes and the smell of sunscreen and lake water that floats your boat (pun intended)?
Whatever the case may be, have a blast this summer and enjoy those little things that will make this season the best of the year.
