Dear Editor,
On Friday, May 27, a disgraceful act occurred. At approximately 6:30 p.m. a “Mac Tool” truck pulled over to the side of the highway right in the heart of Uniondale, which is 10 minutes southeast of St. Marys.
The driver opened his driver side door and pushed a chocolate lab mix male adult dog out of the truck. Witnesses to this incident at first thought he was letting the dog out to pee. The driver then took off like a bat out of hell. The dog chased the truck up the highway trying to catch him. The witnesses went and got the dog to find that the dog’s collar was so tight on its neck, it needed to be cut off.
This dog is safe and sound and being well cared for. To the owner/driver of this truck, may I say this: you are the lowest of the low.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Thomas
