The Listowel Cyclones will honour former teammate Steve Hutchinson prior to Friday night’s game against the Guelph Hurricanes with a moment of silence. Hutchinson, 18, took his own life Sunday night in his hometown of Arthur.
The forward was a member of the Wingham Ironmen Junior ‘C’ club this year and had missed most of the season with a shoulder injury. Hutchinson had ten points and 58 penalty minutes in 26 games for the Cyclones in the 2011-12 campaign.
“He was a great fellow, it’s just a tragic event,” commented Cyclones president Don Annett. “Our condolences to his family and friends.”

I am a little shocked at the way you worded the way Steven had passed away. I would only hope his parents and family do not read this article as it is sad enough to lose a loved one then to have it reported as he took his own life. Would it have not been better to say he had just passed away. I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way
Hot debate. What do you think?
