An active transportation plan is being developed locally and across Wellington County to create and improve opportunities for people-powered recreation and transportation.
The county and its local municipalities want to hear from people living and working in Wellington County. Please share your ideas on how to improve conditions for hiking, on-road and off-road cycling, walking, inline skating, skateboarding, wheelchairing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Provide input by completing an online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/Wellington_Questionnaires. Hard copies of the survey will be available at local libraries, municipal offices and recreation centres.
Interested people can also attend one of two planned Public Information Centre meetings this fall. For dates, times and locations visit www.wellington.ca, your local municipal website or check your local newspaper.
Another option is providing comments directly to the study team. Call or email the project representatives listed below with questions and ideas.
Public input will help the county and its partners develop a progressive and comprehensive Active Transportation Plan for Wellington County.
