On Wednesday, Stratford will be hosting “Julia Wilkinson Day.”

The community is invited to come out to meet and congratulate Wilkinson on her accomplishments at the Summer Olympics this month in London.

The event will be held at the band shell on Veteran’s Drive from 11:30 a.m.  to 1:30 p.m. with remarks at 12:30 p.m.

Strings ‘n Traps will be providing the entertainment and there will be free hotdogs and drinks available.

Also, in honour of Wilkinson there will be a free swim at the Lion’s Pool between 2-4 p.m.
