2005 IPM donates $65,000 to SGH

The organizing committee of the 2005 International Plowing Match presented $65,000 to the Stratford General Hospital this week.

The gift comes with naming rights for the minor procedure room planned for the new north-wing emergency department. The donation will also help purchase a pulse Oximeter and weesight Illuminator for the maternal child unit. The hospital's redevelopment project including moving and expanding the emergency department, establishing new operating and recovery rooms and building a new intensive care unit and telementry. As well, the medical imaging department will be relocated and expanded, along with the maternal child unit. The hospital's mental health services will also be expanded.

"Every donation touches countless lives and every piece of equipment impacts our hospital's ability to care for patients," stated the press release. "We can never say thank you enough to the 2005 International Plowing Match team for this tremendous donation."
