Joyce passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, at age 63.
She is survived by husband and 46-year partner Markus Kolic of Elora, son Markus Kolic Jr. and daughter-in-law Kelsey of Cambridge, Massachusetts, sister Elizabeth Voskamp of Hamilton, and nieces Elaine, Anita, Melanie and Jolene.
Daughter of the late Robert and Audrey Taylor of Hanove.
Graduate of Hanover District High School class of 1968, McGill University 1972 (Mathematics); licensed actuary, veteran member of the Manulife Financial Group Benefits team in Waterloo.
Memorial service to be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, Saturday February 23rd at 1 PM, with reception to follow. Arthur Stanley White
After a lengthy illness at Palmerston and District Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday January 31, 2013.
Art was born 77 years ago to Howard and Valda (Wales) White in Arthur.
Art is survived by loving wife of 52 years, Doris (Scarrow) White. Art was a devoted father of Chrissie White (Ron Bouwman) of Alma, Susan and Haynes Hubbard of Kingston and Scott and Mardell White of Fergus. He was the proud grandfather of Sebastian, Gabriella and Caspian Hubbard, Haley and Dolan White.
Art was the dear brother of James (Jean) White of Arthur. brother-in-law of Mabel Henderson of Arthur and Norma and Hugh Revell of Etobicoke and Clifford and Marion Scarrow of Fergus and Audrey and Jim Waddell of Burlington.
He was predeceased by his grandson Brian Carey (1998), his brother Alvin White (2010), sister-in-law Shirley White (2011).
Art was the owner of White’s Garage in Alma from 1961-1997.
Art will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his church and his community.
The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home 243 George St., Arthur on Friday February 1, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Saturday February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Spring interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. Earl Penfold, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was 89. Born in Pilkington Township, Elora to the late Harry and Sylvia (nee Dobberthein) Penfold. Earl farmed in Bentinck Township until retiring to Hanover.
Survived by loving wife Della (nee Hamilton) of Hanover, sons Telford (Claire) Penfold, Larry (Helen) Penfold, of Manitoba, Allan (Jaqueline) Penfold of Hanover, daughters Anne (David) Kennedy of Markdale, Susan Penfold of Hanover, grandchildren Heather, Cathy, Tim, Laura, Elisabeth, Maggie, Michael, Jennifer, Megan, Joel, Matthew, Mary and several great grandchildren.
Also survived by his brother Robert (Nellie) Penfold of Elmira.
Predeceased by two infant grandsons Peter and Mark and brother Harold (Betty) Penfold.
Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 31 at 2 pm, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Rev. Don Hill officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
