Arthur Enterprise News

On November 1, the team hosted Mitchell and there was lots of action to be seen, Mitchell dominated the first period by snagging three goals and one more in the second to pull ahead 4-0. But then the Vipers had had enough and it was time to get into the action, Arthur’s first goal of the night, went to Bultena, with assists going to Weber and Dyksterhuis to end the second period down 4-1. Shortly after the puck dropped to begin the third period Coffey nets one unassisted, then minutes later, Rutherford scores with help from Saunders and Weber. Next it was Drake’s turn to tie up the game assisted by Fowlie and Coffey. Vipers managed to hang on with a 4-4 tie.

The following Saturday the team faced off against Zurich, and the Vipers dominated the entire game with a 7-1 victory. Scoring for the Vipers were Verbeek(2), Bultena(2), Drake, Dyksterhuis and Coffey, with assists awarded to Weber, Dyksterhuis, Coffey, Verbeek, Rutherford, Drake, Saunders and also Brendan Ludwig and Cameron McNabb who were both playing up to help out, it was a whole team effort this game.

November 10 saw the Vipers play host to Milverton for the first time this year, the team tried out some new positions with O’Donnell and Dyksterhuis playing forward instead of defence and they both did a fantastic job. The Vipers took an early lead in the first period with goals from Bultena and Dyksterhuis and an assist going to Ludwig. Unfortunately Milverton stuck it to us in the second and third periods and they took the 4-2 win. As always, Morrison has been doing a fantastic job between the pipes. There is never a dull moment when you come check out the Novice Rep team, keep up the great work boys.
