An SUV makes some waves as it drove through “Lake No Frills” on Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. According to Environment Canada, a total of 63.6 millimetres of rain fell on Saturday in Mount Forest, with 60.5 millimetres of that hitting the ground between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Open soon

Surface work is nearly completed on the Rick Hopkins Bridge on Highway 6 south of Mount Forest. It is expected the bridge will open to traffic on Aug. 26.
