Open for Business

Brady Cunningham with son Henry purchases items at the Youngsters on Main store on Saturday. They are assisted by store owner Kayla Morton and her husband, Anthony, who was helping out at the official opening of the newest addition to the businesses downtown. Youngsters on Main sells kids’ clothing, accessories, toys and gifts and is located near the Queen Street intersection.

New Location?

Signage has already been posted in front of the Vintex building on Mount Forest Drive in Mount Forest for a land severance application. It is reported that the severance is being sought to allow Canadian Tire to build a long-rumoured new store on the property.


The Tim Horton's on the corner of Main and Queen Streets in Mount Forest is in the midst of a complete renovation inside and out. Workers were busy on Wednesday working on the exterior of the building.

Citizen of the Year

Support System

Dozens of bowlers attended the sixth annual suicide awareness bowl-a-thon last Wednesday night in Mount Forest, where more than $4,000 was raised for the Suicide Awareness Council of Wellington Dufferin (SACWD). This photo, taken last fall, of the Rick Hopkins Bridge shows some of the deterioration that has occurred to the bridge over the years. Council awarded the tender on Monday night that will see the bridge repaired this summer.
