Open for business

The Wooden Spoon Bakery and Café held its grand opening celebration last Friday with a ribbon cutting, complimentary cupcakes and a raffle for gift certificates. Celebrating 25 years

The Woodland Springs Women’s Institute celebrated their 25th anniversary last Saturday, and as a part of the celebration the group honoured six of their members in recognition of their contributions to the Women’s Institute. HELPING HANDS — Germania Mutual Insurance’s Helping Hands Charity Raffle draw took place Tuesday evening, Oct. 11 at Minto Fire’s Harriston station. SMOOTH AS GLASS — Harriston business Glass on a Wire, owned and operated by Susan Cowtan, was the second runner up in this year’s Pitch It! Business Plan Competition in the Town of Minto. Glass on a Wire offers one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry, workshops, repurposing and small repairs. Cowtan operates out of her workshop at 44 Marklane St. East in Harriston.
