Wingham obituaries – Dec. 4, 2013

John Coultes

Suddenly at Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, Mr. Jack Albert Coultes of RR 4 Brussels, age 73 years.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Pipe) Coultes. Dear father of Debbie Campbell of RR 1 Ethel, Kevin and Karen Coultes of Camlachie and Blaine and Patti Coultes of Paisley. Loving grandfather of Corey, Tyler, Nicholas, Jordan, Mitch, Jenna, Chantal, Melissa and Alisha. Great-grandfather of Brielle, Lenyx and Aden.
Also survived by his sisters Marjorie and Wilbert Schwichtenberg of Port Elgin and Diane and Alex Craig of Strathroy and by his brother-in-law John and Edith Pipe of RR 4 Brussels.
Predeceased by his parents Albert and Grace (Kerry) Coultes.
Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sandra Cable officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Melville Presbyterian Church, Brussels or Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Peter Laird

At Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, Mr. Peter A. Laird of Wingham, age 72 years.
Beloved husband of the late Christine (Boettcher) Laird, who predeceased him in 2012. Brother of Sheila and Don Purdy of Toronto. Special cousin of Shirley Clapham, Janet Carlile and Wallace Eley and families. Also survived by the Wattam family, his many friends at Wingham United Church and Braemar Retirement Centre.
Predeceased by his parents Allan and Nora (Power) Laird.
Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m . The funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Wingham Hospital Foundation or Wingham United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
