The Brockton Physician Recruitment and Retention committee announced last week that a new doctor is setting up a practice in Walkerton this week.

Bruce County RFC drops exhibition to Toronto 31-21
The Bruce County RFC (Rugby Football Club) Barbarians had a strong showing against the Toronto Saracens, but slipped after regulation by a score of 31-21. Over 70 people gathered at the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) field in Port Elgin on Saturday, April 28, for the second of three exhibitions leading up the 2012 season.

Walkerton Doogie Cup
The Sacred Heart Crusaders girls rugby team hosted the Doogie Cup on Friday, with about 25 schools attending for a fun tournament. Games took place at Walkerton District Secondary School, Mother Teresa School, and Sacred Heart throughout the day.
