Jessie Gordon passed away peacefully at Leisure World – Streetsville (Mississauga) on Saturday, July 21, 2012. She was 93.
Jessie Rankin (White) Gordon was born Nov. 19, 1918 in Mount Forest and was the youngest of six children. She married Leonard William Frank Gordon on March 3, 1941 in Ottawa. They had two girls, Janet Catherine and Isabel Ruth.
Leonard passed away in Ottawa at the age of 37 on Aug. 21, 1954. She then moved back to Mount Forest and resided there until 1968, at which time she took a bookkeeping position with the Wrinch Memorial Hospital under the United Church of Canada in Hazelton, B.C. On her retirement she moved back to Ontario, residing in Brantford, Paris and finally Mississauga.
She is survived by her daughters Janet Gordon and Isabel McDivitt, nephew Bill White, granddaughter April McDivitt, great-grandchildren Brandon McDivitt, Raegan McDivitt and Logan Smoley, and several cousins.
The family would like to thank Leisure World staff for the care they have provided over the last four years to our family.
A funeral service was held at Streetsville United Church on Wednesday, July 25 at 11 a.m.
Interment Streetsville Cemetery.

Orval Paul, veteran WWII, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest with his family by his side.
Orval, in his 89th year, was the beloved husband of Trudy (nee Lawson).
Loving father of Bob Paul and his wife Linda of Belwood, Linda Schornagel and her husband Skip of Mount Forest and Deborah Detoro and her husband Joe of Arthur.
Proud grandfather of Terri, Tracy, Andy, Jim, Jennifer, Paul, Dawn, Kelly and Lanny and great-grandfather of Jayme, Aidan, Courtney, Megan, Brendan, Emily, Katie, Tye, Quinn, Brooke, Joey, Michael, Hayley and Jaylin.
Dear brother of Mildred Hankinson (Doug), Bev Paul (Marg) and the late Russell Paul (Edith).
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Louise Marshall Hospital.
Friends were received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, (905) 877-3631 on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral and committal service were held in the chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.
