Farmers helping farmers in Guatemala
The Egremont-Proton Agricultural Society held its annual general meeting in Holstein on Nov. 14, and Former Southgate mayor and farmer Don Lewis was guest speaker for the evening, and talked about his volunteer work with a group called Guatemala Hope; a not-for-profit Canadian charitable organization whose efforts are focused on improving the quality of life and self-sufficiency of a handful of villages on southwest coast of Guatemala.
