Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer treated his fans in Stratford to a book signing of his 2008 memoir, In Spite of Myself, at Fanfare Books Friday afternoon.

The 82-year-old actor is currently in the city starring in his acclaimed one-man show, A Word or Two, at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, which runs until Aug. 26.

The play, described as an “intellectual biography,” chronicles Plummer’s lifelong love with literature.
