Ross Hutchinson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ross Carman Hutchinson on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the age of 66.
Beloved son of the late Carman and Ethel Hutchinson of Palmerston; dear brother of Ruth and Brock (Gloria); cherished uncle of Colin (Stacey), Genevieve, Shawn and Blake and grand-uncle to Ethan.
Ross was a taxi driver by profession, book lover and amateur philosopher by persuasion. He will be deeply missed by many cousins, friends and family.
Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of the 6th Floor at the Montfort Hospital, in Ottawa.
A memorial service was held at the Kelly Funeral Home (Orleans). There will be a graveside interment service in the Palmerston Cemetery on Friday, June 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Pearl Herbst
Mrs. Dorothy Pearl (Schildroth) Herbst of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2012.
Beloved wife of the late Fred Herbst. Dear mother of David Herbst and Mary-Lou Cohen of Ottawa, and John and Beth Herbst of Harriston. Grandmother of Jillian, Claire and Emily Herbst, all of Ottawa, Abe Herbst and Courtney Stoner of Kitchener, Melissa and Cory Birk of Listowel, Chelsey and Colin Ladd of Elmira, and Katie Herbst of Kitchener. Great-grandmother of Kevin and Kaleigh.
Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Pocock and her great-grandson Camerron.
Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, June 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel on Tuesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Lloyd Bartman
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Lloyd John Bartman, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Bartman (nee Debler) announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the age of 78.
Lloyd was a dedicated volunteer hockey and baseball coach for 20 years, a committed member of Victory Lutheran Church and a supportive and active member of the Moose Lodge. Lloyd loved golfing, working at his son’s construction company, watching hockey, sharing coffee with his friends, as well as watching his children and grandchildren grow, develop and take part in activities.
Most recently, he was able to share a special trip with his four sons back to his birthplace and family farm in Wallace Township. Lloyd captured the experience with the word “unbelievable”.
The family is both deeply saddened and eternally grateful to have had the blessing of having Dad in their lives and to have had him as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was the best role model, mentor and a shining example of how each of us might lead a purposeful life that centred on humility and treating everyone with dignity.
Lloyd left an honourable legacy for his family and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Anne; and sons Terry (Erika), Darryl (Cheryl), Jamie (Birgit) and Troy (Krista). Also by his grandchildren Rachel (Lorne) Vossler, Brett Bartman and Dara Hanna; Jonathan, Lyndon and Courtney Bartman; Michael and Joshua Bartman; and Truman and Amally Bartman.
He will be missed by his siblings Carl (Marilyn) Bartman, Irene Moore, Grant Bartman, Joan (Eric) Bartman and Jean Bartman; sister-in-law Marion Bartman and brother-in-law John Moore.
He was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Emma Bartman, his brother Bruce and his sister-in-law Ivadelle Bartman.
Relatives and friends were invited to a celebration of Lloyd’s life at the Kinplex in Medicine Hat on Sunday, June 24 and private family interment took place at Hillside Cemetery prior to the life celebration.
Memorial tributes in Lloyd’s name may be made directly to the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre, 666-5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6.
Frank Clarke
Following a lengthy illness, Frank Thomas Clarke passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the age of 83.
Frank will be forever missed by his wife Margaret of Fergus. Fondly remembered by his children Bob (Nancy), Janis (Book), Jean (Joe) and Barb (Don) and his stepchildren Derek (Sharon) and Linda (Steve). Proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Frank is survived by his brother Lyle and his first wife Lucy.
Predeceased by his stepson Kenneth.
The family has chosen to have a private family service.

Derek Tanner
Derek Douglas Tanner passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Derek was born 55 years ago in Listowel.
Beloved son of Donna (Acheson) Tanner of Milverton and the late Doug Tanner. Dear father of Jeremy Tanner of Woodstock.
Loving brother of George and Connie Tanner, Debbie Tanner, all of Milverton, Donelda and Bruce Kropf of Millbank and Denise and Jack Schiavone of Milverton. Also missed by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Fondly remembered by his friends John and Diane Hymers, Tex and Rosemary Donahue, Walter Hymers and Bill and Jean Cook.
Derek was predeceased by his wife Vicki Lynn (Straeten) Tanner (July 22, 1985), his sister Cindy (Buffy) Tanner and nephew Andrew Kropf.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service took place on Sunday, June 24 at 3 p.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor George Russel officiated. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton.
