Annie McCourt of Atwood passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at the age of 95.
Annie was a member of Atwood United Church, Atwood United Church Women, Atwood Valentine Rebekah Lodge No. 343 and was past district deputy of Stratford District No. 29. Annie enjoyed playing cards, quilting and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Clarence McCourt, who predeceased her in 1985. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Joyce Raycraft and friend Rae Thompson of Atwood. Mother-in-law of Joyce and her husband Jim Spence of Goderich. Special grandma of Don McCourt, Mike and Jackie McCourt, Judy and Kevin Dewar, Bevon and Barb Raycraft, Brent and Nicola Raycraft, and Brad Raycraft; and great-grandma of Matthew, Kyle, Sydney, Cooper, Nicolas, Victoria, Randy, Evan and Samantha, Becky, Cory, Brittany and Natasha.
Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her son Murray, son-in-law Jack Raycraft and her sister Agnes and husband Earl Harrow.
Annie’s family invites relatives and friends to share their memories on Friday, Aug. 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens and Brian Hymers officiating. Interment in Donegal Cemetery.

Mrs. Thelma Katherine (Rocher) MacDonald of Listowel passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur MacDonald. Dear mother of Larry and Marjorie MacDonald of Dundas, and Lynda and David Boyne of Kitchener. Grandmother of David and Julie MacDonald of Mississauga, Janet and Steve Durksen of Cayman Islands, Allison and Ian Pottinger of Dundas, Chris Boyne and his friend Wendy, and Jennifer Boyne, all of Kitchener. Great-grandmother of Lindsay, Alexander, and Kevin MacDonald, Stephany and Joel Durksen, and Maddox and Ruby Pottinger.
Predeceased by her sisters Francis Rowland and Eileen Johnston, and her brother Calvin Rocher.
Visitation was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel on Friday, Aug. 3 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Jerry Van Eck
Gerrit (Jerry) Van Eck passed away tragically as a result of an accident at his Browntown Road farm on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at the age of 44. Jerry was born in the Netherlands, a son of Cora and the late Herman Van Eck.
Sadly missed by his children Mieka, Tim and Jodie Van Eck and their mother Jeske, and special uncle and aunt Gijs and Annie Van Beusekom. Dear brother of Annette and Otto Ebskamp and Andre and Yvon Van Eck. Uncle of Bas, Niels, Thijs and Storm. Fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and employees.
Jerry’s family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at a memorial reception to be held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, Main Street, Atwood on Thursday Aug. 9 at 12 noon.

Beverly Ann (Fair) Petry
Feb. 24, 1940- June 28, 2012
My beloved aunt passed away in Mattoon, Illinois, where she had been living for the last six years. Bev spent her married life in Hoopeston, Illinois. Gone before her is Bev’s dear little infant son, Michael.
Bev was born in Palmerston Ontario and was the much-loved daughter of the late Perry and Dora Fair. Sister of seven siblings, six of whom are deceased and aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Condolences have been received from friends in Hoopeston, Illinois.
To honour Bev’s wishes cremation has taken place There will be a graveside interment service held at the family plot in the Palmerston Cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m.
