The Stratford Shakespeare Festival will hold its yearly fundraiser hockey game in memory of Lindsay Thomas this Monday, July 9.
Thomas, a young actress who left an indelible mark on the theatre company in a short period of time, appearing in such productions as Oklahoma! and Oliver!, died of cancer at the age of 31 in 2010.
The third annual game between the Festival acting company, administration staff and special guests, will take place at the Rotary Complex beginning at 7 p.m.
The game will be followed with an after party in the community hall with a live auction hosted by Geraint Wyn Davies and Steve Rae, live music with Andrew Penner, free food and a cash bar.
Tickets are $30 (adults) and $10 (children 18 and under).
All proceeds from the event will go to the Lindsay Thomas Memorial Fund at Princess Margaret Hospital and to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Educational Outreach program.
