Phenomenal Food Tour team members Tonya Bosch, of Peterborough, left, and Taryn Fleischauer, of Listowel, prepare vegetables for their lunch at the Local Community Food Centre Monday.

Inspiration on wheels

Seven members of the Otesha Project’s Phenomenal Food Tour rolled into Stratford Monday morning, making an appropriate first stop at the Local Community Food Centre on Erie Street.

There, the group — which is made up seven people from Ontario and Nova Scotia — harvested and enjoyed a local lunch. Other stops planned for the Stratford area include a dairy and a local farm.

The group will present a play, Cycling Through Change, at the Stratford Public Library tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

The Phenomenal Food Tour members are cycling across Ontario for two months, travelling from Kitchener to Ottawa, stopping to perform their play at schools, town halls, theatres, parks and libraries.

The team comes armed with its powerful message: you and I can create extraordinary change through the power of our daily actions.
