Stratford General Hospital held a fundraiser Wednesday for the Go Blue or Go Bald campaign in support of longtime nursing supervisor Shirley Veenendaal, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Veenendaal is program director for all four Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance emergency departments, as well as St. Marys Memorial Hospital site administrator.
More than 100 items were donated, all via hospital staff, and close to $3,000 was raised.
