Dog days of summer
Our canine companions had their moment in the spotlight Sunday at a Staffa-area farm.
The fourth annual Shakestail Festival, in support of Stratford-based Friends of DARE Network, attracted its usual crowd of dog owners and their pets for a fun afternoon of contests and workshops.
Friends of DARE supports the work being done by DARE Network with refugees along the Thailand/Burma border, including prevention education and treatment for substance abuse.
Organizers estimate close to $5,000 was raised this year.
