Richard Kneider served spaghetti during the United Way of Perth-Huron’s dinner fundraiser Monday.
Over 920 people attended the dinner, helping the United Way narrow its 2001 campaign gap, which currently sits at about $70,000.
Lead organizers Diane Mitchell and Beverley Maranger were thrilled with the turnout for this first-time event, and said they were overwhelmed by the community’s support.
“We want to thank everyone, including Trevor Exner and Susan Ratz from the Black Angus Restaurant for preparing a fantastic meal. So many others gave their time and talents and we are very thankful.”
