Cam’s Concert for a Cure Jan. 18

SouthWesternOntario.ca

Next Friday, Jan. 18 marks the date of the fourth annual Cam’s Concert for a Cure.

Cameron Marshall of Stratford has been hosting the event since January 2010 in memory of his friend Ben Elliott, who died in August 2009 from leukemia.

To date, the event has raised over $17,300 towards leukemia research;  Marshall, 14, was recently recognized by the Canadian Cancer Society for his fundraising work with a provincial Community Partnership Award.

This year’s concert, from 7-9:30 p.m. at City Hall Auditorium, features musical acts Hello Julian, The Project and The Upside of Maybe.

Donations will be accepted at the event or online at the Cam’s Concert for a Cure page at http://convio.cancer.ca/goto/camsconcert2013.
