Mary Simpson

Mary Edith (Hunks) Simpson passed away peacefully with her family by her side at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012.

Mary Edith (Hunks) Simpson of Lambton Shores was 61 years old.

She was the beloved wife of Larry, in their 40th year.

Loving mother of Tricia and Shaun Conway, and Tanya and Dr. Paul Howley, all of Strathroy.

Cherished grandmother of Carter, Lincoln, Noah and Liam.

Also survived by brother Gary Hunks of Middleport.

Predeceased by parents Elmore and Margaret (Salkeld) Hunks, brother William Hunks, and sister Patricia Hunks.

Mary was a co-owner of Our Ponderosa R.V. & Golf Resort for 14 years and a RNA for 21 years.

Rested at the Gilpin Funeral Chapel, Forest for visitation on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Mass for Mary was held on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. with Father Lucio Couto officiating.

Interment Ravenswood Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Critical Care Trauma Unit at London Health Sciences Centre gratefully acknowledged.

Myrtle Small died at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012.

Myrtle Edith (Donaldson) Small of Harriston was in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of the late Ira Small.

Loved mother of Stephen Small and his wife Adele of Mount Forest, Carmen Small and his wife Phyllis of Conn, Randy Small and his friend Pat of Harriston and Iris Reynolds and her husband Ken of Harriston.

Loving grandmother of Garrett, Katrina, Kristie, Michael and Dawna Lea and great-grandmother of Connor, Nathan and Thomas.

Loved sister of Joan Nickles of Komoka and sister-in-law of Marie Donaldson of Hanover.

Predeceased by her parents Jim and Matilda (Collis) Donaldson, brother Peter Donaldson and brother-in-law Ronald Nickles.

Friends called at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service was held in the chapel at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m.

Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Laura Hoffman died at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.

Laura Gertrude (Bell) Hoffman of Mount Forest was in her 76th year.

Beloved wife of Mel Hoffman.

Loved mother of Elaine Love and her husband Paul of Mount Forest, Michael Hoffman and his wife Holly of Mount Forest, Michelle Hoffman and Andy Gonyea of Mount Forest and Laurie Callegari and her husband Rob of Guelph.

Cherished grandmother of Nathalie Love-Officier and her husband Joel, Tessa-Shae Love, Lauren Hoffman, Dylan Hoffman, Mattea Callegari and Roman Callegari.

Dear sister of Glenda Dundas, Violet Prentice and Shirley Shaw and sister-in-law of Maurice Dowdall, Lloyd Rogers, Murell Kelly and Bob Checkley.

Predeceased by her parents Harold and Annie “Bella” (Hellyer) Bell, brothers William Nelson Bell, Bruce Bell and Ralph Bell, sisters Edna Hutchinson, Ruby Shea, Nora McQueen, Mildred Rogers, Joyce Kelly, Marjorie Dowdall and Peggy Checkley, brothers-in-law Ken Hutchinson, Elwood Shea and Don McQueen, sisters-in-law Joan Bell and Helen Bell.

Friends called at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A prayer vigil was held on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary of the Purification Church, Mount Forest on Monday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Forest.

Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or the Building Fund of St. Mary R.C. Church, Mount Forest would be appreciated by the family.
