Meet Rosie….our stupid chicken. Ya, I know they are all stupid... but this one is exceptionally daft (or so I thought).
You see chicken’s hate snow. They hate walking in it, they hate looking at it, they hate it, they hate it, they HATE IT.
"Look Ladies it's snow, YUCK!....hey where's Rosie?"
Hmmm where is Rosie? Oh ya….she’s here…stuck on our front door step.
"pppst! Children....pst! It's cold out here!"
Why would she walk across the snow covered lawn and onto our doorstep? She is stuck on our step and will not walk back to her own abode.
Okay.... so she got our attention and Bear’s.
My children felt sorry for her and gave her a pancake breakfast. NOW I know why she suffered through the snow to our front door. (Maybe she’s not so stupid after all!)
"ohhhh! For me?!"
After her breakfast was done, Rosie lingered and lingered and hunkered down and waited and waited until…..
"The human girl child has come to rescue me!!"
And, so, Rosie was taken back to her cozy warm dwelling place.
We shall expect her tomorrow.... same time, same place.
