Pumped up!

Thanks to the support of local businesses, individuals, and administration at Normanby Community School, students from Grades 5-8 are able to take part in the Fit for Learning program at the school. The initiative allows students to get a quick workout in during first recess in a safe environment. A fire at a property on Sideroad 7W near Kenilworth on Feb. 21 destroyed a farm shed. Damage from the fire, which was caused by a spark from fuel fumes meeting an oxyacetylene torch with an open flame, is estimated at $500,000 plus an additional $10,000 in damage to the nearby home.

Show of support

People were lined up out the door to meet members of the PAW Patrol during Hearts for Hayden at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex on Saturday, Feb. 11. An estimated 700 people attended the daytime event, with 300 more attending the dance that night.

Wellington North Fire Services responded to a structure fire on the 5th Line outside of Arthur the morning of Feb. 10, which claimed the life the homeowner's two pets - one cat and one dog.
